It is with great sadness that the family of the late Emma Flossie "Pearl" Payne, age 81, of Baie Verte, NL announce her passing at Copper Crescent Long Term Care Facility, Baie Verte, NL on Monday, November 27, 2017.
Predeceased by her husband – Arthur Payne; great-grandchild – Mackinley Ryan; parents – Joseph and Minnie Martin; siblings-in-law – Joyce Smith, Charlie Morey, Bruce Warr and Roy Paddock.
Left with fond and loving memories are her children – Jim Payne (Ann), St. John’s, NL, Flo Ryan (Greg), Ignace, ON, Eddie Payne (Audrey), Elkford, BC, Ray Payne (Valda), Baie Verte, NL and Mike Payne (Wendy), Corner Brook, NL; grandchildren – Kaya (Adam); Jody (Jodey), Jennifer (Shane), Craig (Cassandra); Melanie (Ryan), Amy (Joe), Lisa (Andrew); Christa (Brent), Kyle (Rebecca); Matthew (Jackie); great-grandchildren – Dillon, Keenan, Reegan, Mackenzie, Lochlain; Myles, Mila, Evan, Taylor; great-great-grandchild – Kay-Lyn; siblings – Winnie Morey, Ray Martin (Shirley), Lily Reid (Claude) and Ruth Reid (Selby); siblings-in-law – Evelyn Warr, Frances Pittman (Bruce), June Paddock and Harold Payne (Darlene); many nieces, nephews, and a large circle of extended family and friends.
Public visitation took place from Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 7-9 pm, continuing on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
Funeral service took place from Bethany United Church, Baie Verte, NL on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 2 pm. Interment followed at Bethany United Cemetery.
